PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy is to maintain the highest standard of training possible within the Club so that our athletes can reach their full potential in all levels of competition from Regional Grades to Senior World Championships.  We aim to maintain the reputation of Spelthorne Elite Acrobatics as one of the premier Acrobatics Clubs in the World.

 

GYM MARK ACCREDITATION
The gym will have GymMark accreditation.

 

CONSTITUTION
The Club is a Proprietary Club.  Further details available on request.

 

HISTORY
The Club was initially formed by Bob Cooper in 1986 as part of Spelthorne Gymnastics Club operating in Ashford High School.  In 1990, with the help of RMC Group Services, Spelthorne Borough Council and Surrey Playing Fields, the Club moved to a new purpose built premises behind Brooklands College (Ashford campus.)

Since that date, the Club has moved from strength to strength and currently boasts several World champions at Senior and Junior level, as well as numerous International and National champions.

 

CHILD PROTECTION
Our Club Welfare Officer is Caroline Cogbill, who is experienced in teaching acrobatics and is also a qualified state nurse.  All of our coaches have attended the Child Protection courses organised by British Gymnastics.

 

SUPPORTERS
All Parents and Supporters are expected to abide by the Parents & Supporters Code of Conduct at all times.

 

FUND RAISING
The primary aim of the Fund Raising Committee is to raise funds for the support of the Club Members and Coaches at all levels.  For details of future events, please see the NOTICE BOARD page.
